I’m going to start sharing pictures from my biologist adventures here… hopefully people don’t mind, but it’s so fun!
This algae is one of the largest single-celled organisms in the world. Each of those “orbs” is a single cell. A SINGLE CELL!!! And they’re about the size of shooter marbles.
They feel surprisingly hard to the touch for algae- almost like glass.
